Our activities The key area of NVIWODA's work is mainly economic/technological empowerment of women through entrepreneurship/technical skill development. Choose from the links on the left to find out more about NVIWODA's full range of activities and programmes. Entrepreneurship Programme In 1998, with the support of Global Fund for Women NVIWODA embarked on a strategic economic empowerment of women through entrepreneurship training programmes and by the end of 2002, 401 women entrepreneurs trained and developed for accelerated and successful enterprise development. Entrepreneurship programme is a 3 weeks intensive training, which exposes semi-educated women to project identification, resource mobilization, achievement motivation, enterprise development and financial management. Micro-Credit support Schemes The organisation too runs a Revolving Loan Fund, whereby members buy shares, to develop a sustainable fund for its members. In 1999, NVIWODA Developed Entrepreneurship Development and Career Support Scheme to specifically support and access micro-credit to trained women entrepreneur graduates. This enhances the saving culture, as a strategy for capital mobilization and enterprise growth of our members.
